TAKETOMI Island is located at south east of JAPAN( Near TAIWAN). It takes about 3 hours form TOKYO by Air . There is no airport . So, you have to go to ISHIGAKI Island first. Then you can catch a boat to TAKETOMI Island. It takes about 10 minutes boat ride.
TAKETOMI Island is a very small Island. The circumference is about 5.5 mails (9.2 Km). The population is about 270 people.
There are many traditional old style OKINAWA's houses which are surrounded by the coral wall to protect "TYPHOON" .wind.
Have you ever been in this Island ? It is not like a Hawaii, Caribbean sea , Maldives, and Tahiti etc. Why don't you visit TAKETOMI Island and see different.
