Personality: Serious
  • h take things seriously and earnestly, the way I always want to be. That doesn't mean that I can't have a few laughs, though. I don't like it when someone says, "Don't take it so seriously, loosen up" when I'm contemplating something deeply.

Hobbies
  • Computer: Did the BASIC introduction with Fujitsu FM-8. The MS-DOS introduction with NEC 9801. I was still a beginner in both. I bought NEC9821 recently, and am planning to become an expert of Windows 95...
  • Karate: I've been interested in martial arts for a while but hadn't got around to doing it, so when I turned 40, I became a pupil, thinking that it was my last chance. The school is International Full-Contact Submission Arts "KENSHINKAN"and we practice in gymnasiums around Koenji (Suginami-ku, Tokyo). I'm in the senior class (30yrs. or above) and satisfied with the motto "how a person who has a job and cannot practice much can protect him/herself when attacked on the streets of Ginza". I get serious for a full contact (kumite), and suffer from sore muscles for 3 days after practice.
  • Cooking: My specialty is southeast Asian cooking, especially Thai food. I'm not interested in the so-called "man's cooking" , where you spend a whole day to cook and leave the cleaning up to someone else. I'm interested in cooking something that tastes good, with simple ingredients and takes little time to prepare; cooking as a skill for daily life. Thus, I try to practice a lifestyle that stirs a healthy appetite.
