The picture at the left is a microscopic
picture of the hemorrhoids before an injection.
The large oval shape and the empty space
around it are the varices.. The red dots
seen in the enlarged picture of the blood
vessels are blood erythrocytes. Compared
to the broad blood vessels, the tissues around
it are very thin, and there is a possibility
that they will break easily and bleed.
The picture at the left was taken after this treatment. The tissues around
the blood vessels expanded and you can see that the blood vessels are pushed
and made narrower. This is the effect of the sclerosing agent; fibers collected
to the tissues around the blood vessels and made them hard. This prevents
bleeding easily. This is a great treatment for stopping the bleeding, but
the downside is that it is not a permanent remedy and only works to stop
the bleeding; it does not work to cure anal prolapse. Despite these factors,
it is used often on visiting patients because it can hold off the symptoms
for a while for someone whose bleeding does not stop with suppositories
but does not have the time for a surgery.
